The Roaring Twenties

Bringing it back and loving it!

While studying the fashion of the 1920's, a seed was planted in my mind. I thought "Hmm, my hair might be just right for that look." I then discovered several pictures of Marilyn Monroe, and my destiny was sealed. I love my new hair, and now some child somewhere will get to wear my ponytail! :D (Ha, ha, creepy) BY THE WAY, I know that Marilyn isn't Twenties, but the 1920s were my original inspiration, so that is your explanation before you tear me to pieces. :)

Petticoat Promenade

Feeling drab wearing your everyday skirt? Add a petticoat! I picked this one up a while ago at a thrift store for a few dollars. Love it! Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas and Sparkle

Taking a beautiful bottle of Miss Dior Cherie eu de Parfum out of the box was pretty exciting, and these socks are really cute, but never forget, Jesus is the reason for the season! Merry Christmas, everyone!

You might want to ask your mama what she wore back in high school! Who knew my mom wore all these sequins and whatnot! Well, I'm grateful for it. :)

Cute Stuff!

Yay! Forever 21 has launched a new Hello Kitty collection, and it is filled with cute stuff! If only money grew on trees, so you could buy half the merchandise in the store. Am I the only one who thinks that when I walk in there? Anyways, look at this awesome raincoat. Even though it doesn't have a big kitty face on it, it is really cool because you can stay insulated in the rain, while still showing off whatever you want to wear underneath! Check out more here :)

Antiquity

Sometimes I like the idea of having my hair in corn rows, (or an attempt of it). However, when you don't want to pay to have it done so you try it yourself, it is good to have an antique felt hat to cover up what is not very pretty. Also, a vintage-y outfit to go with the hat, in the end resulting in a mysteriously interesting look! The moral of this story is that you can always work what you have to work with!

Featuring Lady Gaga, and a Girl Named Maddie

Hey there! Well, today's blog does not really have unity, but it may provide inspiration, and that is the point, right? First of all, I found this picture (you may have seen it a long time ago, but I just did so it's new to me!) of Mama Monster and I love her hair. Some may call it a fashion disaster, but I think it is a beautiful one! She reminds me of a rebelling mermaid princess, with her sweet cotton-candy colored hair and her studs and leather.

The other inspiration I have for today is the lovely Madison. She wore this black jumpsuit to school, and yes, she agreed to be on my blog! It is a bit hard to tell in this picture, but the legs from bottom-of-shorts length down are sheer, and the rest is not. Cute! Fashionable playfulness while still being wearable  to school. The belt gives it just the right amount of shape.

Pink Pow Power

You know those spray-in wash-out hair sprays that you get (for cheap) for Halloween to make your hair crazy colors? Well, they work year round! Crazy, right? I love it, because I can make my hair hot pink one day, and I never have to commit to more than a day at a time.

Switching topics: I love "shopping" through my mother's clothes that she wore when she was my age! Sometimes I just feel like I need something completely different from what I normally wear, and this does the job. These ultra high-waisted shorts are super comfy (You get tired of squeezing into those skinnies, right?) and they work out well with my vintage style Barbie tee. And don't forget belt and the pop of pink lipstick! Looks like I'm ready for a Barbie Safari. :)
