ANTM Cycle 16!

Happy weekend, everyone! I'm not going to do all this blog-about-television stuff all the time, so don't worry. But, if you are a Next Top Model fan, then this is important! If not, I love you all the same :).
I was suprised and excited to see that our DVR was recording Next Top Model. Cycle 16 already? That's right! I am a fan of the show, because not only do I aspire to model professionally, but it is interesting to see the works of the top designers featured on the show. There is a whole new set of faces this year, so we can only judge by first impressions this early in the competition. Right off the bat, I knew my favorite is this girl. She is just adorable in person and in a photo, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in Teen Vogue! Anyone else have a favorite yet?

They made them walk in blow-up bubbles on a thin runway- in the middle of a pool! I felt so bad for the girls who slipped, but at the same time I was thinking, I could rock that. :P (Maybe) I was not much of a fan of their Alexander Wang outfitting, but that's just me. This batch isn't my style.

Pretty N' Punk

I decided to play dress-up today, and went for a look that was a little off the usual path. I wore a little floral dress, but then made it not so girly with a boyish blazer and my version of a fauxhawk! If you would like the thrill of getting either strange or admiring looks from everyone you walk past, you should try it too sometime! (Just remember to keep your cool and pretend you don't notice the attention.) Just take your hair one parallel-to-your-forehead section at a time, comb it upwards towards the top of your head, twist it till it's a messy little ball, and attack with bobby pins and hairspray.

Cashier: "Did you do your own hair?"

Why yes, yes I did. :)

Part two! So I hate to admit that a little advertisement on the side of the page really did draw me in. I found this site, Modcloth.com, that sells the most adorable and unique dresses! Below are a couple of my favorites. The only thing is they are a bit pricey, so they will probably be nothing more for me than inspiration, at least until I get a real job. :)

Finally Friday!

You know those days when we just don't feel like battling our hair? Yeah, that was me this morning. My hair is a weird curly/wavy frizz texture (it has a mind of its own). I thought, why not just rock what I've got? I took a little yellow flower hair clip, twisted one side and clipped it out of my face. Don't think you need to spend half an hour every morning taming your hair. It's fun to embrace your uniqueness sometimes! You will be thanking me when you're getting compliments on your beautiful bed-head!

Read on to part two of today's post! :D

Forever 21 just teamed up with designer Petro Zillia, and produced a brand new line of clothes that I just fell in love with! Below are some of the cutest looks from the lookbook on the website, incase you just want a peek. Or, you can see more here --> http://www.forever21.com/category.asp?catalog_name=FOREVER21&category_name=Promo_PetroZillia&Page=all&promotype=1 .
