Vintage and Elegance

"When it comes to fashion, I'm like a mood ring! So when the color on my mood ring is pink and bubbly, that's the kind of outfit I'm going to have on." -Katy Perry

You do NOT need to go shopping every week for the newest trends to be fashionable. I got this sweater at a thrift store a while ago, and when I got it it was totally old-fashioned, but I still loved wearing it cuz' it's just so comfy, and I feel good in it. You can find amazing things where you least expect it, trust me! And what do you know, now it is 'in'!
Let's talk accessories. I went with gold today, and stuck with the vintage theme. An old bracelet adds needed sparkle, but my favorite piece would have to be my bow-tie necklace.

I walk into the fitting room at Forever 21 and the first thing the employee says is, "Oh! I like your sweater!" Thanks. Thrift store. ;)

I love the androgynous look of a bow-tie. It becomes a bit more feminine by sewing on an old necklace chain, like I did here.

When I said I went gold, I meant it!

Finally an Outfit! Yay!

I know I have yet to put up an actual Olivia outfit, but what do you know? Our first ensemble has finally arrived. :D If floral is not your thing, that is okay, but I personally seem to be drawn to pretty flowers. I love this little dress (Heritage) not only because of its floral pattern and casual, flowy shape. It has two layers, one silky black under-layer, and the delicate chiffon layer on top.
I got this black kinda old-school hat for Christmas, which I just had to stick a big flower onto. That and a long black and gold bead necklace was enough for accessories. Don't want to go overkill.
Since it has been chilly, a cute black jacket keeps you warm without ruining the outfit (I'm not wearing mine in the pics. It's SoCal, it doesn't get that cold.) The ribbed tights provide more coverage, while adding texture. Last but definitely not least, vintage Guess combat/heels make the look!
